SATURN Project - Phase 1

BENEFITS

SATURN is a business driven solution that integrates a variety of technologies and technological contexts focused on user needs and expectations in the maritime context, addressing a market segment not actually covered by this type of solutions.

The added value of this project is represented by the opportunity to develop a concrete proposal of connectivity management in the blue water. This bi-directional connectivity guarantees to the user to request and receive many useful services, not actually available in the market segment of interest.

These services are thought to satisfy various types of maritime users and needs, and they are split in "entertainment services", i.e. services used in the free time during pleasure travels, and "navigation assistance services", i.e. services for helping the yachtsman, such as map updates, weather forecasts, sending own positions, renting a berth in a harbour, etc.
