SATURN Project - Phase 1

CURRENT STATUS (dated: 12 Dec 2012)

Project has started on September 4th 2012 and it has been reached the BDR milestone related to Requirements and Specification definition.

Requirements deliverables will cover the following aspects:

• Operational scenario
• SATURN prototype requirements
• End-to-End SATURN system requirements
• Service requirements

Specification deliverables are focused on major SATURN prototype components:

• Antenna electromagnetic section specification
• Antenna amplification and communication section specification
• Onboard gateway specification
• Plotter specification

The design phase is about to start, and it will require 3 months. During the design phase the Implementation phase will start also, including tests, to be completed in 7 months.
